Work with Me

Therapy Services in Walnut Creek

“Where awareness, self-compassion, and personal responsibility meet.”

I work with motivated adults and couples in Walnut Creek and by telehealth across California. The work is active, somatic, and depth-oriented, and it happens in real time rather than in retrospect. See how I work.

People usually come in through one of these doors. They tend to be connected underneath.

Not sure which one is yours? Most people don’t arrive with a clean label, and these overlap far more than they separate. Burnout usually sits on top of anxiety. Relationship issues show up at work as often as they do at home. A transition can set all of it off at once. If you can’t tell which door is yours, pick the one that sounded most like you and we’ll sort it out together in the consultation. You don’t need to have it figured out before you call.

“Regulation isn’t a feeling you wait for.
It’s a skill you practice.”

How the work actually goes.

I work mostly with capable, self-aware adults. People in demanding careers, parents carrying more than they let on, partners trying to change a dynamic they can both describe, and people in a transition that’s making them reconsider what they actually want. What they tend to have in common is that they’re doing well by outside measures and are privately tired of what it takes to keep that up.

Sessions are active and collaborative. We’ll notice things as they’re happening rather than only talking about them afterward, and you’ll usually have something to try between sessions. We meet weekly, usually for 50 minutes. I see clients in person in Walnut Creek and by telehealth throughout California.

If you’re not sure which of these fits, or whether any of it does, that’s a completely normal place to start from. The consultation exists for exactly that. Session fees and out-of-network information are on the fees page, and common questions are answered in the FAQ.
